They had full intentions of opening in January of 1820 as there is undeniable thrust to act upon the mandate from Spain to establish soonest the school for seafaring whose Royal Decrees have already been secured. Despite the delays, the intent to open in January is quite significant to look back on with regards to the history of our Alma Mater. This look back on history is something we should take into consideration in our future undertakings and collective endeavors.
